The Centre's Meeting Rooms are available for hire at a very reasonable rate for community groups and social services agencies.
Large Meeting Room
The large meeting room is a warm and comfortable space with carpet and curtains suitable for almost any kind of meeting and the most centrally located meeting room in Wainuiomata (adjacent to the main shopping centre). It can be easily transformed for anything from a training workshop to a community meeting to a birthday party. Come in and have a look.
Room size: 8 metres x 6 metres Seats 50-70 people
Hire cost: Community Groups (NFPs) $6 Commercial Groups $12 per hour
Resources include: Data projector, overhead projector, large (school size) and small whiteboards, surround music system, 50 comfortable stackable chairs, four large folding tables, heater, fan and access to computers, photocopier, kitchen and toilets.
Interview Room
The interview room is ideal for small meetings such as counselling, interviewing, meeting with clients and studying. It is a warm cosy room especially for small groups.
Room size: 2.7m x 2.7m Seats: 2-6 people
Resources include: 2x 2 seater couches, desk and chairs, coffee table, heater.
Community Space
The Community Space is an ideal drop in area for groups and individuals who do not need the privacy of closed doors. This space is close to the kitchen and furnished with a combination of couches, chairs and tables.
Size: 4.5m x 6.5m Seats: 15 to 20 people
Resources include: 2x 3 seater couches, 2 arm chairs, stackable chairs, a table and desk. Other resources used in the large meeting room are available (if not already booked).
